Recycling Made Easy

At Dominant Home Care Products, we try to minimise waste and the impact on the environment through highly concentrated products, refill bags and re-usable containers. Inevitably of course, eventually you will have to dispose of some containers. Here’s a quick and easy guide to follow, so you know what can go where.

PET PRODUCTS such as soft drink and fruit juice bottles. PET is being collected nationally through kerbside collections and drop-off centres and being recycled into bottles and carpet fibre.

Dominant 1.5kg & 750g Refill Bags, Saniclear 500ml and the Botanical Collection range

HDPE PRODUCTS such as milk bottles. Most councils collect kerbside, then they are recycled into detergent bottles, crates & pipes.

Deodorising drops, Hands & Shower, Haircare, Toilet Cleaner, Trigger Bottles, Oven & BBQ, Stainless Steel, 375ml Supa Liquids, 1L and 5L containers

VINYL PRODUCTS such as fruit juice, mineral water and oil bottles.  Most councils collect kerbside and are being recycled into storm water and drainage pipes.

Green Tea 250ml
, D’amia, Airspray Refills

LDPE PRODUCTS such as food bags, shrink film (plastic wrap) are being recycled into builder’s film and garbage bags. Most LDPE film used in the home is difficult to recycle due to contamination from food and inks.

PP PRODUCTS like ice cream tubs are now collected by most councils kerbside and recycled.

Re-usable 500g and 2kg Buckets, Triggers, Pumps, Airsprays and Caps

POLYSTYRENE PRODUCTS such as drinking cups. Trial programs have been established to recycle polystyrene cups used in public venues. Polystyrene is generally not being collected by council at the kerbside because of the small volume.

OTHER PRODUCTS such as most other types of plastics and those that cannot be identified. Some councils collect all plastics for recycling into substitute timber and concrete products such as sign posts, park benches and outdoor furniture.

Dominant sachets contain paper and small amounts of metal and plastic, and can be recycled with paper products.
